Enlightened A5signment

I feel enlightened by this learning experience and thrilled that the final website is a refined version of the original concept. A felt like a cloud had been lifted off my shoulders on Monday when I handed in the completed assignment.
Despite making several silly mistakes during the build of this website, I now feel more confident that if I were asked to design it again, I could do it in a quarter of the time it original took me.

I wait in eager anticipation of the reading week exercise, sorry listening week exercise and the first task next Monday.

Hi Mark,

Great title!

It’s good to you’ve learnt a lot in this assignment and are feeling more confident about with building websites. I’m also feeling a lot more confident with about it too.

Glad you feel you've got a lot from the assignment, I reckon all of the class has developed a lot as a result. Hopefully this can continue to develop over the next assignment and beyond.

Great to hear that now have more confidence when it comes to web design especially after all the problems that you had.

I also can't wait until Monday to start the listening. I am very eager to heard the music Steve has chosen but I might not be so enthusiastic after I have listened to it!

I completely agree with your comments about newspaper layouts, more columns does provide more flexibility and can produce a wider range of design solutions. In my final timed task, I produced a layout of three columns which, in my opinion, is the definitive number of columns for layouts when you don't know the content that is going to be inserted.

It's great to hear about your experience with A5 and the things that you have learnt. I can certainly relate to now having the knowledge to be able to build it quicker now if we were to do it again. And I'm certainly anticipating Monday's listening task for our next assignment!

I have to say it has been an uncomfortably steep learning curve at times! But now looking back down I also feel a great sense of achievement at how far I've come.

I think this first authoring task has as much been a test of strength of character as it has technical ability. So I commend us all for our grit and determination. Bravo!

Glad you got the assignment all finished.

I bet it is a big relief after all the stress it was causing you over the last few weeks.
